Using the same drone fleet we already deploy for aerial photogrammetry, we also carry out thermal inspections of photovoltaic installations: the drone flies over the system fitted with a thermal camera, producing a full thermal map of the panels.
What it can detect
— hot spots;
— damaged or faulty cells;
— underperforming modules or modules with connection issues;
— anomalies that are not always visible from a ground-level inspection.
Advantages over a traditional inspection
A thermal flight allows rapid scanning of the entire installation, even over large surfaces, without needing direct access to the panels. This significantly cuts inspection time compared with manual checks and, above all, avoids exposing operators to the risks of working at height on roofs or solar canopies.
The result
At the end of the flight we produce a technical report with a georeferenced map of the anomalies found, so that maintenance can be planned exactly where it's needed instead of inspecting the whole system panel by panel.
