We have been using the MATTERPORT platform for over 4 years, and we provide scanning, editing and hosting of Matterport models.
Useful in many areas, from real estate marketing (probably its most common use) to property surveys, to producing a measurable, visitable archive of properties, right through to tourism, to showcase and promote rooms, bungalows and common areas. We have also built up considerable experience in a less common application: surveying very large spaces. We have scanned warehouses and factories covering more than 150,000 square metres — we probably hold the record for the largest surface ever scanned worldwide in a single job — including repetitive areas (tricky to handle, as they easily generate errors), discovering techniques and "tricks" along the way to avoid these issues.
The generated model can be hosted on the client's own Matterport space or, if they don't have one, on ours.
